Day 2 : Driving To Toraja Land

  • Continue journey to Rantepao; check-in and relax after travel.

Day 3 : Culture Tours Toraja

  • Attend a traditional funeral ceremony if one is scheduled an extraordinary cultural insight into Torajan customs (subject to availability).

  • Lemo: Stone cliff graves adorned with wooden effigies (tau tau) on balconies overlooking valleys.

  • Baby graves carved into living trees—a unique burial tradition symbolizing life cycles.

  • Tampang Allo / Londa: Ancient cave tombs featuring rows of ancestral statues guarding entrances.

Day 4 : Toraja with amazing Lanscape

  • Traditional buffalo market & general Torajan market vibrant scenes full of local color and culture.

  • Kalimbuang Bori: Impressive monolith stones used in rituals and ceremonies reflecting ancient beliefs.

  • Tongkonan houses showcasing distinctive architecture symbolic of social status.

  • Start from Tinimbayo village → pass through Lempo village → reach Batutumonga viewpoint a long the way observe rice terraces sculpted into hillsides, daily activities of villagers, traditional houses, and lush landscapes.

Day 5 : Rafting in Sa'dan River

  • Experience exhilarating rafting along the Sa'dan River near Mai'ting

    One exciting way to enjoy the natural beauty of Toraja is by rafting grade III on the Maiting River, located in the village of Dende’ Ma’dong. The journey to the river offers exotic scenery and refreshing cool air. Along the rafting route, you will pass several challenging rapids such as the rapid, which is unique because the boat must hit a large rock to get through, and the “Iguana’s Mouth” rapid, named after a rock formation that resembles an iguana’s open mouth. Besides the thrill of rafting, you can also enjoy the beauty of tiered waterfalls and see iguanas crawling on the river rocks. Usually, rafters take a break and have lunch at a white sandy area that resembles a beach. The journey ends at Tapparan Village, leaving an unforgettable adventure experience in the nature of Toraja.

Day 6 : Toraja/Sengkang/Lake Tempe

  • Drive from Tana Toraja to Sengkang area.

  • Visiting floating houses on Tempe Lake

  • Observe silk weaving

  • Bird watching around Tempe Lake’s rich ecosystems (bring binoculars).

Day 7 :Sengkang/Tanah Beru/Bira

  • Drive towards Bira coastal town known for beautiful beaches.

  • Stop en route at Tanah Beru shipyard—the heartland of Phinisi wooden schooner building

  • Drive to Accomodation
